As a Therapist, Melissa helps individuals and couples to develop and maintain healthy relationships.

Working with Couples:

Melissa is passionate about supporting couples at various stages of relationship including marriage, separation or divorce. She believes that once you have been in a relationship with someone that relationship does not necessarily end, but rather continues in either a functional or dysfunctional way.

Melissa works with couples to strengthen and improve their existing relationships.

She also supports individuals and couples who have made the difficult decision to separate to do so in a way that is respectful, kind and strives to impart minimal damage to each other and/or children. Working together, it is possible to achieve the goal of developing and maintaining an amicable relationship with the ex-partner and co-parent.

Individual Therapy:

Melissa works with individuals who find themselves in crises or major life transitions and are feeling lost, anxious or depressed. Individual psychotherapy and counselling can provide direction and support to regain your bearings and help you find hope for your future, even when things are not how you ever imagined they would be for your life.

Counselling for Men:

Her experience as a co-facilitator in Caring Dads and PAR (Partner Assault Response) groups has led her to pursue an interest in providing counselling specifically for men who have found that anger and struggles with emotions have caused problems in their relationships with themselves or others.
