Helen Vozinidis Psychotherapist

My practice is a safe place that honors, respects and gives voice to painful experiences. I believe everyone has the ability to heal and discover that even one’s vulnerabilities often unveil innate personal strength and resilience. My therapeutic approach is holistic and directed by the needs of my clients. I utilize EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Sandtray and Play Therapy modalities. I work with a broad range of issues including post-traumatic stress, traumatic grief, parenting, self-esteem, body-image, shame, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and challenging family or life circumstances.

I come with over 17 years’ experience, and have worked extensively in the field of child abuse and neglect.  Prior to entering private practice, I worked at Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, at one time managing the Assessment Directed Therapy Program.  The majority of my professional experience involves working with children, youth and their families who have experienced interpersonal abuse and/or neglect. I work from a trauma-informed lens that is embedded within a developmentally-informed framework, and honors, the courage, bravery and fortitude of survivors.
